Rihiveli Maldives Resort's description
Rihiveli, the Maldives’ original iconic, barefoot resort, after having undergone some recent renovations refurbishments and upgrades, is now rebranded as Rihiveli Maldives Resort, a 4-star property and welcomed its first guests under the new management in November 2021.Rihiveli is set on the stunning island of Mahaanaelhi Huraa in South Male Atoll and accessible by a 45-minute speedboat ride from Velana International Airport.
The island remains preserved in its natural and authentic state.
However, some renovations have been made to upgrade the rooms to provide optimal comfort to our guests including addition of AC, TV, Minibar, In-villa safe, Coffee Machine and complimentary Wi-Fi in all the Villas.
Unique to its surroundings are two Virgin Islands within the lagoon, both easily accessible on foot or by canoe and a dolphin lagoon.
In Rihiveli, guests live to the rhythm of nature with a choice of 50 bungalows featuring French-Maldivian architecture and simple, minimalistic design, with wooden interiors and thatched roofs.
Each villa has a private outdoor patio that comes with lounging armchairs, sunbeds, and a hammock to relax in.
The over water “Lagoon Restaurant” serves buffet meals with a variety of international dishes and theme nights.
The “Sunset bar located on the sunset beach offers a wide selection of beverages, a snack menu along with various entertainments and indoor recreation including board games, table tennis and a pool table.
Located on the sunrise beach, the “Sand bar” looks out at our picnic islands and is the perfect spot to grab a drink and snack during the day while enjoying the beach.
Guests can also enjoy Private dining experiences including in-Villa dining, romantic dinners on the beach, or on a private island or sandbank and special celebration arrangements as well.
A range of activities and excursions are available for guest while staying at Rihiveli Maldives Resort including motorized and non-motorized water sports, windsurfing, sailing, and Dive programmes including Bubble Maker, Discover Scuba Diving and advanced certificate courses.
The Centre also offers dive packages to explore popular dive sites in the atoll.
At the Nala Spa, succumb to absolute relaxation in a peaceful atmosphere.
